ISA Forum 2016 Receives Record Number of Abstracts
Sociologists from 123 different countries of all continents submitted well over 7,500 abstracts
The 55 Research Committees, Working Groups and Thematic Groups that are participating in the International Sociological Association’s (ISA) Third ISA Forum of Sociology, to be held in Vienna 10-14 July 2016 under the motto “The Futures We Want: Global Sociology and the Struggles for a Better World”, received at the closing of the submissions system well over 7,500 abstracts on the full range of sociological topics from authors in 123 different countries of all continents, according to preliminary counts. The session organizers and program coordinators will be making over the next several weeks their selections for what promises to become an intellectually exciting Forum. The authors are scheduled to be notified by session organizers about the acceptance status of their proposed papers by 30 November 2015.
