Breaking News: ISA Forum in Vienna 

 

Over 4,000 Sociologists from Around the World Arrive in Austria

 

 

Vienna, Austria. A record number of over 4,000 pre-registered sociologists and scholars of related social sciences from over 100 countries of all world regions are arriving in Vienna to participate in the International Sociological Association’s Third Forum of Sociology. The ISA Forum will be held in the Austrian capital from 10th to 14th of July 2016. It is dedicated to the overall theme “The Futures We Want: Global Sociology and the Struggles for a Better World.” Over 600 academic sessions cover the full range of sociological topics.

The Opening and Closing Plenaries will be live-streamed:

July 10, 2016: Ceremony 16:00, Opening Plenary 17:45-19:15
July 14, 2016: Closing Plenary 17:45-19:15
